From sharing their personal stories of motherhood to bringing you backstage in the world of social media, freely giving business tips and advice and to sharing the real and honest side of entrepreneurship, Laura and Josie always leave an impact. Their influence far outreaches the realm of social media.

When you think of Women who influence- What do you think? Who do you think of? And why do you think of them?

When we think of the phrase “Women of Influence” we think about the women who not only influence others on social media but women who care about whether you succeed or not. They spend the time to make sure that every person that interacts with them walks away with something.

Sheryl Sandberg once said “Leadership is about making others better as a result of your presence and making sure that impact lasts in your absence” This quote reminds me of the first time I ever had the pleasure of personally meeting Laura and Josie aka The GG Sisters.

We took some time to get to know The GG Sisters a little better and we are sharing it with all of you!

Meet Laura & Josie: The GG Sisters

Who are the GG sisters?

We are two sisters who are affectionately referred to as, The GG Sisters. GG stands for Glama Gal. The name we gave our business and franchise. We are actual sisters, juggle multiple businesses while broadcasting our experiences as moms, wives and everything in between.

What began as a way for us to share the ins and outs of daily life, has amassed to an amazing community of thousands of entrepreneurs, parents and like-minded individuals, who follow our stories on social media. Using our platforms, we create an atmosphere where we can be totally candid.

We are now the leading voices for both parenting and entrepreneurial advice online and offline. After successfully growing our business, we have turned our attention to social media. In 2014 we created The GG Sisters social media channels; allowing followers a glimpse into their parenting and entrepreneurship lifestyle.

With this wealth of hands-on experience and knowledge, The GG Sisters tell a story daily when it comes to family, parenting & business, based on the foundation of what these two sisters built.

What inspired you to create your business? What made you pursue this idea or dream and go for it?

It was really something that fell into our lap; we had a SPA THEMED bridal shower for Laura in 2006, we created a spa table for kids where they can have manicures and make their own lipgloss. We called it the Glama Gal table. A cousin at the table asked if we could do this for her birthday party at home and then it just snowballed into the best way possible. From her party, everyone wanted a kids spa party. For two years we would go to peoples homes and offer a spa party in their home.

What is the one thing you know now that you wish you knew when you first started

Ask more questions and have zero expectations.

What one piece of advice would you give an aspiring entrepreneur who is just starting out?

Before you go into business ask yourself what problem are you solving? What impact are you making? And why is your business different?

Favorite life quote or motto?

It’s not about the quantity of time it’s about the quality of time- make an IMPACT.

You inspire so many women on a daily basis through social media, who inspires you?

Our kids inspire us- their innocence, their carefree personalities and their happiness for the small things. They motivate us daily to work hard and never give up. Those little people watching are why we do what we do.
