Let’s talk Chic Mamma-What or who does it stand for?
Being a Chic Mamma is a state of mind. It’s about being a mom but not forgetting who you are as a person. It’s about staying true to yourself, doing things that make you happy and not giving a f*#@! about what others have to think or say about you all while being one kick a$$ mom

You are one of the very first “mom-bloggers” of our time and one of the original creators for mom groups on facebook, what made you start?
I started the Chic Mammas Facebook group when my oldest daughter Samantha was 6 months old. Becoming a first-time mom was a bit overwhelming for me, as it is for any first-time mom.  I found myself asking question after question after question….is this normal?, what should I do now? does your baby do this?, etc…   Needless to say I found that I wasn’t the only first time Mamma going through this, and my friends were asking and wondering all the same things.  That’s when I thought to myself, that maybe, I can do something to create a place, a community, where we can all come together to share our experiences, get advice, and just know that we aren’t going crazy! Hahaha!  And with that, the Chic Mammas group was created on Facebook!

It’s now grown into a community where moms with children of all ages

It started out with 20 close friends and grew into a community of almost 10,000 moms across the globe.

What is the most surprising thing you learned about being an entrepreneur?
You will find that the people you thought would be supportive, turn out to not support you at all.  Its the one thing that has surprised me the most about being an entrepreneur. You really get to know who your real friends are, who has your back and who is supporting you

How do you deal with Negativity? Especially through social media?
Luckily for me I have a “Zero F#@!$ To Give” attitude so whatever and who ever does not serve a purpose in my life is out, pretty simple. Life is too short to have to deal with any negativity and drama, which is why the “block” button was created!! LOL

What one piece of advice would you give an aspiring blogger/influencer who is just starting out?
Just do it! Go for it! Don’t wait for the perfect time because guess what? It doesn’t exists. Work hard, hustle and and most of all do it for you, not for anyone else.

Favorite life quote or motto?

1. “If you do what you love, you’ll never have to work a day in your life”
2. “Don’t fake it till you make it, learn it till you earn it

Work-life balance? Does it exist? With 3 kids, how do you do what you do?
Hahaha f#@! no! It’s really hard. Being a mom is a full-time gig now add on being an entrepreneur, radio host, part time college instructor and voice actor to the list…it’s pretty crazy. Definitely not enough hours in the day lol. So what do I do? I try my best, I’m always behind in work and I’m learning to accept that I can’t do it all. Sometimes things need to be put on the back burner for a bit, there is always tomorrow and you can’t kill yourself. It’s taken me a long time to get to this point of acceptance and it’s still something I’m working on but it’s getting better. It doesn’t help that we live in a what I like to call a “fast food society” where everyone wants things here and now.
